In a long time ago, when customers developed new products, they all opened the mold directly, and they did not care whether the design of the drawings was reasonable, whether there were errors or loopholes. Due to the lack of testing and inspection before opening the mold, every time when they found that the products opened the mold had defects, they had caused irreparable losses. The hand model is different. It is one or several products made according to the 3D drawing of the product without opening the mold, which is used to check whether the appearance or structure is reasonable.
Compared with the mold, the handboard model has the following differences:
1. The cost of handboard model is relatively small, which is mainly used for testing, so the quantity is usually not too much. Moreover, due to the continuous maturity of CNC processing, vacuum lamination, 3D printing and other technologies, the cost of making handboard has been greatly reduced compared with before. And the cost of direct production of mold is generally tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands, while the cost of medical equipment and robot mold is more than one million. In addition, some handboards are made in small quantities and can be directly used as commodities for sale in the market. The beauty and delicacy of the handboards are no less than that of the molds, and the cost is less than one tenth of that of the molds.
2. Generally speaking, it takes a very long time to open the model, from half a month to several months or even longer. The period of making the model is very short, usually in a few days. If 3D printing is used, the speed is faster, usually on the same day.
3. The model can be displayed as a sample at the exhibition before the product is put on the market, so as to promote the new product in advance, and even get the order directly at the exhibition. However, the model opening does not have such advantages. To sum up, the advantages of the hand model are less cost and shorter time.
